Why choose the Iris Hotel?
The family run Iris Hotel offers a lovely spot right beside the yachts, with the pontoon only a few metres from the hotel pool! It is located in a quiet spot on Lefkas, in a district called Stena, just 15 minutes walk from the bustling village of Nidri.
The self-catering accommodation is finished to an excellent standard. Owner Effie is always on hand to help you and cater for whatever you might like. The pool bar offers bar snacks and drinks throughout the day and well into the evening.

Things to do on Lefkas Island
Villa Meandros is located on the hill above Sivota village, the closest airport is Preveza which is around an hour away by road. Lefkas Island (also known as Lefkada), is joined to the Greek mainland with a long causeway and a floating bridge.
Explore the Island
Should you rent a car, a drive around the island will give you an opportunity to visit the stunning white sandy beaches of Porto Katsiki and Kathisma on the west coast. Lefkas Town itself is a great spot to visit for a day, with its lively Greek atmosphere. Some people head up into the hills for the spectacular views and to visit the mountain villages. The more active amongst you may wish to visit the windsurfing mecca of Vasiliki or the kite surfing beach north of Lefkas Town.
Discover Nidri's hot spots
Closer to home, the pool environment at the Iris is hard to beat for a completely relaxing loll about in the sun. There are many excellent tavernas in and around Nidri, which our shorebased team will be able to recommend. Our personal favourite is called ‘Elenas’ on the other side of Vliho Bay as the food and sunsets are spectacular. This is a boat or taxi ride away, and is well worth the effort!
